I Am Pleased: God’s Heart For You

I Am PleasedPrecious Child,

I am well aware of your struggle lately. The world is telling you a lot of things right now about how you should look and act, what you should care about. But hear what I have to say: I am pleased with you.

That truth doesn’t stem from anything you’ve done or ever will do. I am pleased with you not only in those times when you feel like you have it all together. I’m pleased with you not because of your performance at work or how much you accomplish in a day. My pleasure doesn’t dwindle when you’re having a bad day and feel like you’ve failed.

My pleasure with you is constant. It stems from the heart of a Father proud of his child. I am proud of who you are and who you are becoming. I am proud of your desire to know me, to let yourself be known. I am proud of your faith, even when it’s hard and you’re doubting, because I know that you are watching to see what will happen next. I am proud of your desire to please me, to follow my commands. I am pleased by your love. But even without all of this I would still take pleasure you.

I know you question that. Why would I be pleased with you? Child, you are my special treasure. You are one of a kind, hand made and molded in love. I have known you from the beginning. I took great care in creating you. You are my masterpiece. And despite what anyone ever says, you are enough. You don’t have to perform for my love. You do not have to please me. My love and care for you is constant and never ending. There is nothing you could ever do to separate yourself from my love.

Live in that love today. Let the truth my pleasure take root in your heart.

May it be a truth that gets you through the hardest days and keeps you coming back to me even when you feel like you’ve failed.

May it be the truth that keeps your head up when others give their disapproval.

May it be the truth that sets you free from all of the lies trying to tear you down.

The same words I spoke to my Son, I speak now to you. You are my beloved child. In you I am well pleased.

Live in my love!

~God
